Saturday Style Special: A Little Marc Cain, A Lot of Purple

Soft shades and serious comfort

We’re starting with two gorgeous relaxed jumpers in pale lilac and pearl grey.

The lilac is particularly lovely, with an interesting square-style pattern woven through the fabric, while ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem add a little structure. The side slits make them wonderfully easy to wear, too.

And because we know how much we love a good choice, the same style is also available in pearl grey.

They’re the kind of jumpers we can throw on with jeans and look effortlessly put together without having to give our outfit too much thought. Which, frankly, is exactly what we want from a jumper.

Pinstripes with a purple twist

Next up is a pinstripe blouse that is anything but ordinary.

It features an asymmetric button fastening and contrasting lilac detailing, with stripes running in different directions on the cuffs. It’s a clever little detail that gives a classic pinstripe style a much more contemporary feel.

We can wear it buttoned up for a polished look or open the front fastening for a more relaxed take. And as the fit is quite generous, it’s a lovely style for effortless dressing.

A bow, or no bow?

We also have this beautiful blouse featuring rich purple and aubergine tones — a colour combination we’re seeing throughout the new season collections.

The clever detail is the detachable bow at the front. We can keep it on when we’re feeling a little more feminine or simply remove it for a cleaner, more understated look.

We love anything that gives us options, particularly when it means one blouse can create two quite different looks.

The one we’re fighting over

Now, if we had to choose a star of this little collection, it would have to be the shocking-purple Herzens silk blouse.

It’s glorious.

The colour is wonderfully bold, the silk feels beautiful against the skin and the length is just right. We’ve paired it with Ripkoff jeans for an easy combination that lets the blouse do all the talking.

A little bit of faux-fur fun

And finally, we couldn’t resist finishing the collection with something a little more playful: a gorgeous faux-fur jacket in the softest ice grey.

It’s cosy, fun and wonderfully easy to wear, with side pockets and a collar that can be worn up or down depending on your mood.

Even better, it’s machine washable at 30 degrees. Yes, really. Faux fur that can go in the washing machine — we’re sold.
